Early on, Mathys addressed hip arthroplasty with the goal of offering its customers possible solutions for their requirements. The cooperation between Prof. M. E. Müller and Mathys led to the introduction of one of the best-known cemented stem systems, the Müller straight stem. Mathys also collaborated with physicians to develop products such as the RM cups and the optimys stem.
